Workshop Profile:

This workshop introduces the core concepts of project management as outlined in the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). Using a hands-on approach, it helps the participants identify key project indicators, plan and track the progress of their projects, create successful project communication channels and institute a project team culture that produces individual as well as team results. Students will experience teamwork and obtain practical insights into planning and implementing project plans. Further, students will develop their project management style based on best practices.

Workshop Objectives:

The Project Management Basics workshop provides a balanced exposure to all the aspects of Project Management which include:
Project definition
Project constraints
Key project management processes
Project life cycle phases
Project management skills
Project management tools and techniques for managing the critical project constraints

Learn the importance of communication, and change and risk management to successfully manage projects

Workshop Description:

This workshop will include lectures, exercises, and discussions. The emphasis is on participant discussions and exercises. Participants will be provided with a Participant Handbook.
